"The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao. The name that can be named is not the eternal name."

Why the Tao te Ching?

The Tao Te Ching has been my companion for decades - a slim volume that has quietly, persistently rewired the way I see the world, the way I heal, and the way I love. Its 81 verses are not instructions to be followed but invitations to be received.

In my work with clients, in my retreats, and in the quiet hours of my own practice, I return to these teachings again and again. They meet me differently each time ... because I am different each time. That is the magic of the Tao: it does not change, but it changes everything.

This series is my offering - a bridge between ancient wisdom and the very real, very human challenges we face today. I write not as a scholar but as a practitioner, a healer, and a fellow traveler on this extraordinary journey of being alive.

With love, Susan
