When Vision Becomes Distorted
Due to an overactive mind, current stresses, or past events, our vision may become distorted; we may "lose sight" of the goodness and possibilities always around us. Our personal opinions may skew how things "look on the surface." We may struggle with others who "see things differently" or "have a different viewpoint." We can easily feel "overlooked" when our viewpoint is not considered. We might feel "blindsided" by circumstances or conditions that appear to come out of nowhere and feel beyond our control.

Perception Practice
Look at a familiar scene - your garden, your street, your room - and deliberately look for something you have never noticed before. A colour, a shadow, a detail. This practice trains the eyes to see beyond habitual patterns and discover what has always been there.
Eye Gazing
Sit before a mirror and gaze gently into your own eyes for three minutes. Without judgment, simply look. Notice what you see - and what you feel. This practice reconnects you with the soul that looks out through your eyes.
Belief Inventory
Ask yourself: What beliefs are filtering my vision right now? What am I afraid to see? What beauty am I overlooking? Write freely for ten minutes, letting the Eyes card guide your exploration of the lens through which you perceive your world.
